Dr. Madhvi Mohindra
Founder
An exquisite diamond of her art style intense passionate, elegant yet vibrant effortlessly spanning, centuries of Kathak heritage as she does her Dance space. Dr. Madhvi Mohindra is sheer poetry and sublime joy transcending boundaries. An eminent Indian classical, Folk, Bollywood Dancer , and Musician , Dr.Mohindra is Maestro of Kathak Dance and Indian Classical Music forms.
Dr. Mohindra learnt Kathak Dance from her Guru Smt. Prem Lata Ellawadi and Sh. Rajendra Gangani of Jaipur Gharana and thereafter from Guru Vedvyas of Lucknow Gharana and adapted the grace, elegance and naturalness of Lucknow Gharana , complex and powerful footwork, multiple spins, and complicated compositions in different talas from Jaipur Gharana.

She was born in a small town of Bhiwani, Haryana in India, in the well known family of educationalists and artists. Madhvi took up Dancing at the time when it was not considered to be a very good thing. However her parents always gave her liberty to pursue what she wanted to achieve in her life. With Music and Dance her passion in life she decided to study and attained the highest possible degree in Dance, Music and Hindi literature field.
She is a multi faced personality, who is called by different names such as Dancer, Musician, Actor, Choreographer, Social Worker, former Femina Miss India Contestant (1992) and a Media Executive. She has made India proud by performing shows in India and abroad.Her performances are simply awe inspiring and have earned her a lot of fame. In fact she has received awards for best Dancer, best all rounder to name a few. She has been teaching Dance and Music for more than 25 years. She has choreographed several Dances for TV, Stage and Films in India, Fiji and Australia. She has conducted many orchestral shows, organised many workshops for Dance, Music, Acting and Hindi Language.
Not only she has committed herself to the dancing and music field but also made incredible contribution in organising National and International Events, Festivals, Radio and TV Shows in India, Fiji and Australia like Jhalak Dikhla ja Australia Spotlight , Colors Talent Hunt Australia , Singing Megastar Australia (for Colors Viacom 18) Zee TV Sa re ga ma pa and Antakshri Zee Birthday bash (for Zee TV), National Bollywood Dance Competition with FAVC etc. She was presenter at All India Radio, Fiji Broadcasting Corporation Ltd, Radio Navtarang Fiji and Talk back show on SBS Radio Australia . Dr. Mohindra attained her PhD in Music and her topic of research was Music Therapy . She was the President of Music Therapy Association of Fiji where she organized several training workshops for special Schools, Psychiatric Hospitals etc.
Dr. Mohindra is also a qualified counsellor and practice as counsellor. She is also the President of Haryanvi Association of Australia.
Mrinalini Mohindra
Teacher and Performer
Mrinalini is a twenty year old girl who made her mark in music and dance from a very young age. Moreover, she continues to succeed in this field. She started taking Indian Classical music training from the age of 4 years from her Guru Pt Omkarnath and Kathak Dance training from her mother Dr. Madhvi Mohindra. Later on she learnt Kathak from the renowned Kathak Dancer and Guinness World Record holder Smt. Vidha lal , Shri Abhimanyu Lal of Jaipur Gharana and Smt. Surabhi Shukla of Lucknow Gharana. Mrinalini has won numerous awards in Music and Dance at national and international level.
Mrinalini is a multi talented person, as she is not only a good dancer and singer but she plays several music instruments like Sitar, Harmonium, Keyboard and Xylophone etc. Mrinalini is doing her Degree in Accounting and to keep her talent alive she teaches Music & Bollywood Dance at The Elegant Creations.
